Ruth Kogen Goodwin is a writer and editor currently living in Southern California. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Writing/Literature from the University of California, San Diego. After studying Spanish literature in Spain for a brief period, she went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from American University in Washington, DC. There, she focused on writing poetry and creative nonfiction, as well as translation and teaching. Afterward, she taught college level courses in both rhetoric and literature, while also managing and organizing literary and academic events such as Fall for the Book, the Big Orange Book Festival, and TEDxChapmanU.
To date, Ruth’s editing career spans more than two decades. She has served as Managing Editor for both literary and academic publications. In addition, she has been the Director of Publications for nonprofit organizations, working to both produce and edit content suitable for multiple audiences.
